Eligibility Criteria :-

• Probationary Engineer (Electronics) :- Candidate should have completed B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering Graduate in Electronics and Communication.
• Probationary Engineer (Mechanical) :- Candidate should have completed B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering Graduate in Mechanical.
• For PROBATIONARY ENGINEER post, UR / OBC (NCL) / EWS candidates with First class in B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering Graduate from AICTE approved Colleges in Electronics / Electronics and Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication / Telecommunication / Mechanical disciplines.
• Candidates with first class in AMIE / AMIETE / GIETE in the above disciplines are also eligible to apply. SC / ST / PwBD candidates with Pass class in the above degree / disciplines are eligible to apply.

Selection Process :-

• Candidates who meet the qualifying criteria and whose online applications have been accepted will be provisionally shortlisted for the computer based test.
• The minimum qualifying marks for General/OBC/EWS candidates is 35% and 30% for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates in both computer based test and interview separately.
• Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in both the computer based test and interview.
• Based on the performance in the computer based test, candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for interview in the ratio of 1:5.
• The weightage for Compute based test is 85 marks and interview is 15 marks.
• Candidates are required to print the call letter and comply with the instructions indicated therein.
• Candidates who meet the qualifying criteria and whose online applications are accepted are required to log on to the BEL website and enter their credentials to access and download their computer based test call letter.
• Please note that call letters will not be sent through e-mail or through conventional mail.
• The Computer Based Test will be held Tentatively in the Month of March 2025.

Computer Based Test :

• The computer based test (CBT) is for a duration of 120 minutes comprising of 125 Questions (i.e. 100 Technical Questions and 25 General Aptitude and Reasoning Questions).
• Each question will carry 1 mark and there will be negative marking for wrong answers; 1/4th or 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• The question paper will be bilingual i.e., English and Hindi only.

• Candidate must go through the official notification carefully before directly applying for the recruitment.
• Online registration will start on the BEL official website from 10th January 2025.
• Applications will be received in the online mode only.
• Upon successful registration, applicants will be provided with an online Registration number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference.
